 Compete to become the Director of the Pledge 5 Foundation!

• Contest runs from February 20th to April 30th
• Contestants must be able to commit to between 15 and 20 hours per week for 10 weeks (contest will pause over Spring Break)
• Contest will be filmed featuring contestants, challenges and activities associated with the Pledge 5 Foundation. It is anticipated that eight 30-minute or sixteen 15-minute contest webisodes will be released. WUFT is also considering televising the show and will be making their decision early March. 
• Specific dates and times necessary for filming will be announced prior to the Open Call on Thursday, February 17th. In order to compete in the Pledge 5 Apprentice contestants must be available during these occasions. Only in the case of extreme circumstances will these filming blocks be adjusted.
• Any person or group that refers the winning contestant will receive $500. Contestants will be asked any referring agents at the Open Call.

Open Call

The first Open Call will be held on Thursday, February 17th at 7:20 pm on the University of Florida Campus in Room 110 of Rinker Hall

The second Open Call will held on Sunday, February 20th at 2:00 pm at the following address:

 All applicants will be invited to attend the Public Service Social that afternoon following the interview. Event information for the social can be found at either the following website:

Provide cover letter and resume at either of the Open Calls. 12 contestants will be chosen from the applicant pool to compete  All majors are welcome but contestants that are able to demonstrate marketing, public relations, leadership and event management skills will likely be given preference during the application process and will also likely be the ones that excel through the competition

Each applicant will also have the option of uploading a short (less than 5 minute) video in lieu of, or in addition to, his or her Open Call interview. This video must convince the board that he or she would be the best choice for the director of the Pledge 5 Foundation. Once complete, this optional video should be loaded directly onto the Pledge 5 Foundation's Facebook fan page @ www.facebook.com/pledge5

Challenges and Eliminations

• Challenges shall consist of both individual and team tasks that test a person's ability to effectively direct this organization. Challenges may include but not be limited to the following examples, A) motivating people to engage in charity drives, B) demonstrating social networking capabilities, C) showcasing sponsors D) multitasking during potentially stressful event situations and D) managing large groups of interns and/or volunteers.
• Eliminations will be made during approximately six board meetings where contestants are judged on their performance on challenges, aptitude, attitude, composure during board meetings and perceived dedication. The goal of these challenges is to effectively measure contestant performance across multiple skills sets; however, these eliminations will be decided on, but not limited to, the above criteria and based on the sole discretion of the board.

Compensation Package
Pledge 5 Foundation Director = $50,708
Director is a salaried position that is expected to work a minimum of 40 hours/week
Annual compensation:
- $30,500 in monetary compensation

- $5500 fitness package sponsored by Body by Jimmy & Alter Ego Fitness
- $3900 entertainment allowance sponsored by Sharab Lounge
- $99 music allowance sponsored by Grooveshark (supplied all 12 contestants)
- $5200 restaurant allowance
